Several of the applications on the Communications Services website require the users to have a campus userid, and to have been authorized to access the applications. These applications are the BORIS web portal, the Update Telephone Service Locations tool, and the Temporary Telephone Disconnect/Reconnect tool. In the past, these applications have required a campus Com-Plete userid for login, and authorization in the Com-Plete All-In-One (ALLN01) system. Now these applications all use the UCSBNetID, which is the userid maintained in the UCSB Directory, and which is also used by many other campus applications, such as the espresso.ucsb.edu website and the CorporateTime calendar.
To access the Communications Services online tools, users must have a UCSBnetID, and must have been authorized by their Departmental Security Administrator (DSA). Information on obtaining a UCSBnetID is available at the UCSB Directory site. DSAs now authorize users to access BORIS and other applications on the Communications Services website through a screen within the BORIS system. DSAs have already had their own UCSBnetIDs set up for access to BORIS, and can find instructions on authorizing other users on our BORIS Frequently Asked Questions page.
