Change Time on Panasonic DTS Telephones

Whenever there is a Daylight Savings time change, business customers with Panasonic digital multi-line systems that have instruments with an LCD display may want to change the time shown on their displays.

There are two types of systems on campus: one older and one newer. As a general rule, if you pick up your handset and get your own line automatically, you have an older system. If you pick up your handset and have to push a button to get your line, then you have a newer system. Below you will find instructions for setting the time on each type of system. If it does not work, try the other.

Please note: Completing this process changes the time on all phones on your system.

Older Systems

Perform the following steps without lifting the handset.

  1. On your telephone, press the intercom button (usually marked ICL), then #98. It should say, "Enter Prog Code."
  2. Enter 9999. It should say "Accept ID Code."
  3. Press the PROG button, then ## (i.e., hit the pound key twice). It should say "Program Mode Main Mode."
  4. Press the # key again; it should say "System Program Select Sub Mode."
  5. Press the # key again. It should say "Select Time Mode."
  6. Press 2, then the # key. It should say, "Time Set Mode Hour/Minute."
  7. Enter time in military format, then press the # key. (Examples: 08:55# for 8:55 a.m.; 1328# for 1:28 p.m.)
  8. Press the ON/OFF key. Programming is complete.

Newer Systems

Perform the following steps without lifting the handset.

  1. On your telephone, press ON/OFF.
  2. Press PROG.
  3. Press ** (i.e., hit the star key twice).
  4. Press 9999.
  5. Press the eighth phone number button (that is, press the button that is second from the left, in the row that is second from the bottom, in the section that is above the buttons you press to dial.)
  6. Press 1001, then press HOLD.
  7. Enter time in military format. (Examples: 0855 for 8:55 a.m.; 1328 for 1:28 p.m.)
  8. Press HOLD.
  9. Press the ON/OFF key. Programming is complete.
