On December 15, 2003, Cox Communications increased the monthly rate they charge UCSB and the local community for cable television service. As a result, Communications Services' rate for television service will increase as well.
Our rates will still be 5% less than Cox Communications' rate for equivalent service. Effective February 1, 2004, the new rate for UCSB cable television service will be $43.43 per month.
