Communications Services has redesigned the monthly Account Usage Report. Beginning with the March 1, 2010 billing, the new report should provide you better information and use less paper.
We have incorporated many of the suggestions we have received from our customers. In addition, our new printing process should allow us to deliver the statements to you several days earlier in the month.
Some of the key features of the new statement are:
- A cover sheet showing totals for all accounts.
- An improved Account Summary providing "at-a-glance" totals for monthly and one-time charges, telephone usage, summary by object code, and workorder totals.
- A Subscriber Summary page that lists totals for each service assigned to a subscriber. We are hoping this new summary will provide enough detail that many departments may choose to no longer receive full detail billing.
- A Subscriber Detail report for each subscriber that should provide a clearer organization of detailed charges for each service.
You will find an insert with the billing which provides additional details on the new statements (pdf).
We are introducing a Web tool that will allow departments to select the level of detail to be printed. This will let you eliminate detail when it is not needed, and choose to no longer have the detail billing for each subscriber start on a new page. Choosing these options can result in significant paper reduction.
For those customers who have also been receiving copies of carrier invoices along with their monthly statement, there is an additional change. We will now be sending these copies separately from the statements. You may receive these copies several weeks in advance of the Account Usage Report. If you have been receiving copies of carrier invoices, and you believe you have no requirements for these copies, please contact us so we may discontinue sending them.
We hope you will find the new reports more useful and easier to read than the previous version. If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments, please contact us at [email protected], or call x8700.
